Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions our staff answers. Our job as your dentists is to respond to any inquiries you might have in a way that takes into account your particular dental situation. Never hesitate to ask us anything in person when you visit us for a dental appointment!
Your initial appointment will often include a consultation where your diagnosis and available treatments are explained. On some occasions, the procedure might be done the same day as the consultation. Expect an evaluation and a follow-up appointment for treatment on a different day if you have a complicated medical history or treatment plan.
Please assist us by bringing the following information:
- If you have dental insurance, bring your account and plan information. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- Please alert us if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (for example; diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) and if you are currently taking any medication such as heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.
- If a referring dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office.
- Your surgical referral slip and any x-rays, if applicable.
IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation/exam visit.
